Shaped by Curiosity
Claynor is a personal exploration of clay, form, and texture.
Each piece begins with a simple question about shape or surface and develops through a process of
making, altering, and discovering. The collection celebrates the subtle irregularities that
make handmade objects feel distinctly human.

The Collection
A selection of studies and finished works exploring
shape, weight, texture, and balance.

Quiet Forms
Sculptural pieces reduced to simple silhouettes, where proportion and negative space become part of the work.

Earthbound
Textural studies inspired by natural surfaces, softened edges, and the changing character of raw clay.

Between Shapes
Experimental works that play with unusual proportions, layered forms, and unexpected relationships between objects.

In the Making
The finished piece is only one part of the process. Claynor follows the marks, changes, and imperfections that happen along the way.
Shaping
Beginning with a loose idea, each form is gradually shaped by hand until its proportions begin to feel right.
Surface
Texture is built through touch, carving, layering, and subtraction, allowing every piece to develop its own character.
Firing
Heat transforms the material and reveals details that aren't always visible before the kiln. No two results are quite the same.
Studio Journal

“Letting the Form Lead”
Some pieces become clearer when I stop trying to control every curve. Leaving room for the material to decide has become part of the process.

“The Beauty of the Uneven”
A perfectly smooth surface isn't always the goal. Small dents, shifts, and irregular edges can give an object its sense of presence.
— Claynor Journal / 02

“After the Kiln”
There is always a moment of uncertainty before opening the kiln. Colors change, textures deepen, and familiar forms often return slightly transformed.
